Job Description
An exciting contract opportunity awaits Occupational Therapists interested in supporting elementary students’ growth and development throughout a school-based maternity leave coverage. This full-time position spans 37.5 hours per week and is based near Woodstock, GA, providing OT services at two welcoming elementary schools and supporting an additional private school student. The assignment is set tentatively from November 2nd through January 29th, with the possibility of an extension through February 26th.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to elementary-aged students in both public and private school settings.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEP goals.
- Assess student needs, create treatment plans, and monitor progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Facilitate inclusive learning environments and help students develop functional skills critical to school success.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Qualifications sought:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Georgia.
- Prefer at least one year of school-based OT experience.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to travel between school sites as needed.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards preferred.
