Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting Pre-K students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) near Jersey City, NJ! In this dynamic role, you’ll make a difference for young learners with diverse communication needs, working in an educational setting that values compassionate, evidence-based practice.

You’ll manage a caseload of 35 individual students—with a growing list from Early Intervention referrals—and use your expertise for evaluations, treatments, and participation in IEP meetings. Candidates experienced with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices will thrive here, shaping meaningful outcomes for students with complex needs. This assignment covers a maternity leave through November, with the possibility of an extension.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Active state-specific SLP license and all required certifications
  • Experience with pediatric and Pre-K populations, ideally within school-based settings
  • Familiarity with augmentative communication devices is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to conduct evaluations, implement therapy, and navigate the IEP process
  • Excellent collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to Pre-K students
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop targeted goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing clinical insights and recommendations
