The Opportunity

\n

The Lead Case Manager coordinates case management and permanency services for children in FSA’s foster care program, and supervises and trains Case Managers. Child-facing services are provided on-site.

\n

Please note: This is a grant-funded, term-limited position for up to three years. Continuation is contingent on grant funding.

\n

What You Will Own

    Coordinate case management and permanency services, ensuring services meet program timeframes and child welfare standards.

  • \n
  • \n

    Supervise and train Case Managers and ensure they complete relevant training on child welfare topics.

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide child-facing case management services on-site, including assessments, service planning, and permanency/reunification coordination.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ensure consistent care-coordination communication between medical, behavioral health, and external stakeholders; coordinate child advocate referrals as needed.

  • \n
  • \n

    Support maintenance of case management staffing ratios.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ensure accurate, timely, confidential case documentation in the EHR.

Required Qualifications

  • \n

    Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services; OR a Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of progressive experience demonstrating supervisory and case management experience.

    Must be at least 21 years of age. Employment is contingent on successful completion of all required background checks and credentialing, including FBI fingerprint, state repository, child abuse and neglect, and sex offender registry checks, and proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases.

Preferred Qualifications

    Case management and permanency experience in a foster care or child welfare setting.

  • \n

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience with EHR documentation and trauma-informed case management.

\n

Compensation and Benefits

\n

Salary: $54,400 – $64,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include group health, dental, and vision insurance; employer-paid basic life insurance (coverage begins after the eligibility period); paid time off and paid federal holidays; professional development; GSA-rate mileage reimbursement; and workers’ compensation per N.C.G.S. § 97-2.
