Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Irving, TX

Make a profound impact supporting students and families in a collaborative K-12 environment as an Educational Diagnostician. This onsite, contract role provides an opportunity to use your expertise in educational assessments and ARDs to drive student success during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Active Educational Diagnostician endorsement required.
• Mastery in formal and informal assessment tools and interpretation.
• Experience facilitating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings is essential—this role will require you to lead and coordinate every ARD on your caseload.
• Strong understanding of federal and state special education policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related services staff.
• Skillful in written and verbal communication, thorough documentation, and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill 37.5-hour work weeks providing comprehensive educational evaluations and facilitating all ARD meetings pertaining to your students.
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports and recommendations for eligibility, services, and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and timely records according to district and legal standards.
• Advocate for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Serve as a resource and consultant to instructional staff regarding special education requirements, instructional strategies, and compliance.
• Actively participate in professional development and stay current with best practices and state requirements.

This contract role aligns with the academic calendar, starting August 6, 2026, and ending May 27, 2027. Your direct involvement with ARD facilitation makes you a core advocate for students’ learning journeys.
