Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license, with specialized experience in school-based settings
- CDE (Colorado Department of Education) credential required; consideration given if the CDE application is in progress (proof required)
- Strong understanding of OT services as they apply to elementary school populations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans within IEP frameworks
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to elementary students, addressing a variety of needs that support educational participation and daily living skills
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and tailor interventions to promote functional improvement in the classroom
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, other support specialists, and families, contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture
- Document interventions, maintain compliance with state and district guidelines, and participate in IEP meetings
