Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students in grades 3-5 within an intermediate building near Schaumburg, IL. As a school-based occupational therapy professional, you'll collaborate closely with educators, students, and families to foster growth and independence for approximately 25 students. This role is ideal for a dynamic OT who thrives in consultative settings while also enjoying moments of direct intervention, especially for fine motor and sensory needs.

Enjoy a balanced work schedule, with the flexibility to choose between two full days, or three shorter days during the academic week. The hours run from 8:05 am to 2:45 pm, giving you a fulfilling routine that still leaves room for work-life balance. The assignment spans the full 2026-2027 academic year, beginning September 8, 2026, and concluding June 16, 2027.

What You'll Bring:

  • Current license and credentials as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
  • Experience in school-based OT, especially with upper elementary students (grades 3-5) preferred
  • Strong consultative skills, with a collaborative approach to working with teachers and staff
  • Skilled in providing direct therapy for fine motor and sensory integration needs
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to effectively manage a moderate caseload within a single building
  • Excellent communication abilities with both students and adults

  • Deliver OT services with a focus on consultative support and some direct therapy
  • Collaborate on IEP teams, contribute to student plans, and consult with families and school staff
  • Use evidence-based practices to support student progress and classroom success
  • Document services and maintain compliance with all required paperwork
