Job Description
Bring your organizational expertise and knowledge of Medi-Cal procedures to a critical clerical role supporting special education services. This opportunity offers a full-time, contract position for a driven individual ready to make a real impact managing Medi-Cal requests and processes within a dynamic school district environment. The role is expected to begin in September, following board approval, and will continue through the end of June.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage Medi-Cal requests accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and verify random Medicaid time surveys from SPED and district staff to ensure compliance and timely submissions
- Coordinate monthly meetings with Medi-Cal representatives to uphold best practices in procedures and timekeeping
- Serve as a liaison between staff, departments, and Medi-Cal offices to streamline communications
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records and documentation
- Offer bilingual support in Spanish (highly preferred) to facilitate clear communication across teams
- Ensure all district procedures related to Medi-Cal are followed correctly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience handling Medi-Cal requests and Medicaid documentation
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Bilingual in Spanish is strongly desired
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with various staff roles and meet deadlines
- No special licenses or certifications required, but familiarity with Medicaid processes is essential
