This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position located on California's Central Coast, working within an infusion center that is part of a well-integrated health system. The role involves a focus on oncology pharmacy services, including chemotherapy admixture, making it ideal for candidates with experience in this specialized area.

Location: Santa Maria, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts
Duration: 13-week contract

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and mix chemotherapy and other infusion medications according to strict protocols and safety guidelines
  • Support clinical pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations within the infusion center
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to medication preparation and administration
  • Ensure compliance with sterile compounding standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to facilitate timely medication delivery and patient care

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
  • Proven experience working in oncology pharmacy or infusion center settings, specifically with chemotherapy admixture
  • Ability to work full-time during Monday through Friday day shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment
