Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Salisbury, NC

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role is ideal for experienced Operating Room RNs looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment specializing in trauma and advanced specialty surgeries.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule (45-minute response time, varying between 11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends)
• Every 4th weekend rotation (coverage may be call or a scheduled shift)
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Contract assignment

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with BLS certification (CNOR preferred, not required)
• Minimum 5 years of recent OR nursing experience; not open to first-time travelers
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in trauma, ortho trauma, total joints, spine, cardiac, vascular, GYN, robotics, general, bariatrics, and other specialty cases
• Charge RN experience and scrubbing skills (helpful to have proficiency in laparoscopic/open belly, ortho trauma, cysto, vascular, and robotics)
• Highly flexible, self-motivated, and able to adapt to varied case requirements, especially during overnight shifts
• Team-oriented, reliable, and clear communicator

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and assist in a variety of complex surgical cases within a 19-suite OR department
• Respond to intraoperative needs efficiently and with clinical expertise
• Participate in average daily caseload of 50 cases, spanning numerous specialties
• Fulfill call and weekend/holiday requirements per schedule
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors, educators, and a robust support staff

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
