Job Description
Step into a dynamic, contract-based role supporting young learners near New Bedford, MA as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). This position focuses on elementary through early childhood students and spans the entire school year, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s communication skills during formative early academic stages. Compensation for this role ranges from $30 to $42 per hour, commensurate with experience in school-based settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license or eligibility in Massachusetts
- Previous experience in a school environment, particularly with early childhood and elementary ages
- Familiarity with implementing speech and language therapy plans under the direction of a certified SLP
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver targeted therapies
- Assist in student screenings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Support and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) for students

- Communicate with educators and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate student records and therapy documentation throughout the school year
