Location: Chicago, IL (Pilsen Area)
Schedule: Hybrid
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $65-72k

Our client is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to support key HR functions across recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, reporting, and process improvement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys leveraging data, improving processes, and ensuring a seamless employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics, including headcount, turnover, hiring trends, and workforce data
  • Support compensation analysis and provide salary benchmarking insights
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, new hire documentation, and system updates
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR data accuracy across systems
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries and provide administrative support
  • Assist with policy updates, process documentation, and compliance initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Support HR projects, system enhancements, and departmental initiatives
  • Develop and maintain HR procedures, training materials, and employee resources
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on operations, HRIS, and reporting
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting, and data analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience supporting hybrid work environments preferred
Preferred Technical Skills
  • Paylocity HRIS
  • Smartsheet or similar project management tools
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Microsoft Teams and Zoom
Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, paid time off and several paid company holidays, among other value-added benefits.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year
