Job Description
We are excited to announce an opening for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our dynamic and high-volume practice in Des Moines, Iowa. We welcome J1 and H1B visa candidates!
Key Responsibilities- Join a team of four surgeons, with plans to expand to five to enhance growth and innovation.
- Provide first call support for Advanced Practice Providers (APP) along with inpatient rounding and clinic assistance.
- Benefit from 24/7 intensivist support in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU).
- Engage in a high surgical case volume, exceeding 1,000 cases annually.
- Participate in pioneering procedures such as beating heart surgery, robotic heart surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, ECMO, VAD, TAVR, and TEVAR.
- Utilize the EMR system EPIC for patient management.
- Contribute to the General Surgery Residency program as faculty.

Working ConditionsOur facility, a Level II Trauma center, has been dedicated to serving the community since 1893. We operate four non-profit Catholic medical centers and two specialty hospitals, totaling 875 beds.
