Job Description
Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference in a vibrant educational environment near Temecula, CA! This full-time, contract assignment will span the entire 2026–2027 school year, allowing you to build meaningful connections and support students as they grow and thrive.
You'll work district-wide, providing essential therapy services to a caseload of approximately 50 students from diverse backgrounds, with additional support from a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Your expertise will help students achieve greater independence and success within the educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California required
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and support staff
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based occupational therapy services, both direct and consultative, according to IEP goals
- Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Work collaboratively across multiple campuses within the district
- Provide guidance and oversight to the COTA
- Engage with teachers and families to support students’ educational participation and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
