Job Description
A travel pharmacist opportunity is available for a 26-week assignment in Ft Bragg, CA, offering a dynamic work environment and the chance to support critical hospital pharmacy operations. This role features a 4-days-per-week, 10-hour day-shift schedule, providing a balanced approach to professional responsibilities and personal time.
Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflows
- Consult with nurses and physicians to optimize medication therapy
- Support pharmacy operations during the transition to EPIC from Cerner
- Utilize Omnicell systems for medication management
- Apply any previous chemotherapy experience to enhance patient care
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Possession of an active California pharmacist license
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy settings preferred
- Experience with Cerner and/or EPIC systems highly desirable
- Background in chemotherapy medication is an advantage
- Availability for full-time travel assignment
