In this role, you will care for a 4-year-old student who requires ongoing oxygen support. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the student’s safety, well-being, and participation in their classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
- Critical care experience strongly preferred
- Must provide current license/certification and a thorough resume during application
- LPNs will not be considered for this position
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care and monitor a young student with oxygen needs throughout the school morning
- Collaborate closely with classroom staff, school administration, and the student’s family to support medical and developmental goals
- Conduct regular assessment and documentation of the student’s condition, responding promptly to any health concerns or emergencies
- Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are maintained and functioning
- Communicate effectively with the broader educational and health teams
This unique opportunity offers steady, part-time hours every Friday morning from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027—ideally suited for nurses seeking a predictable schedule that complements other professional or personal commitments.
