Special Education Teacher - Eden Prairie, MN

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. In this role, you’ll guide a resource room of up to 22 students at multiple grade levels, helping each child work towards their individual academic and behavioral goals. By working closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families, you’ll play an essential part in fostering students’ growth and inclusion.

Your impact will be felt as you:

• Deliver targeted special education instruction in alignment with IEP objectives.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet a range of student needs within a multi-grade resource setting.
• Offer both academic and behavioral support, promoting positive classroom culture.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to advocate for students and shape effective supports.
• Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state and federal requirements.
• Participate in ongoing IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional learning communities.

The ideal educator brings:

• A valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required).
• Direct experience working with students experiencing emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Strong skills in modifying curriculum, crisis intervention, and cultivating an inclusive environment.
