Job Description
Seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist passionate about making a difference in the lives of children within educational settings. This rewarding contract opportunity features two distinct caseloads: a full-time Early Intervention assignment in Aston and a School Age assignment at the Marple Education Center, both conveniently located near Morton, PA. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll be instrumental in helping students develop the foundational skills necessary for academic and daily living success.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Physical Therapy license required
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Ability to develop and implement IEP/IFSP goals and related documentation
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in Early Intervention classrooms (5 days/week in Aston)
- Deliver therapy services to school-aged students with low incidence needs (4 days/week at Marple Education Center)
- Assess motor development and functional mobility; determine therapy goals and required accommodations
- Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings, contributing expertise and sharing progress with families and the educational team
- Maintain detailed and timely records of sessions, interventions, and student progress
- Engage with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated and holistic student care
