Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license or eligibility to obtain credential in the state of Missouri
- Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and supervisors
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the varied needs of students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing session notes and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement targeted communication interventions as described in students’ IEPs
- Assist with screening and progress monitoring tasks to support each student’s growth
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational team members to ensure coordinated care
- Prepare and adapt materials for individualized and group therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate records and data on student progress and service delivery
