Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Physical Therapist within a supportive school environment. This opportunity is perfect for those passionate about providing high-quality therapy services to K-12 (and some Pre-K) students. Full-time and part-time schedules are available—either one full-time Physical Therapist or a team of two or three dedicated part-time professionals will complete the assignment together.
You’ll serve an itinerant role, collaborating closely with another Physical Therapist and a PTA while traveling to 2 or 3 schools each day, with a diverse caseload divided among team members. The position covers both direct and indirect services, allowing you to provide a full spectrum of support to students across a broad age range.
Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Valid Florida Physical Therapist license required.
- School-based experience strongly preferred, but candidates with a passion for working in education are welcome to apply.
- Experience supporting K-12 or pediatric populations a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to travel between school sites as part of your daily routine.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students, adapting interventions to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and healthcare providers to maximize student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, complete documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
- Support a team approach through both direct services and consultation.
