Speech Language Pathologist in Nebo, NC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist during the 2026–2027 school year. Based near Nebo, NC, this full-time position plays a vital role in enhancing communication and academic skills for a diverse caseload of approximately 43 elementary school students.

As an SLP working within a collaborative school setting, you’ll engage directly with children, educators, and families to deliver compassionate, evidence-based services. Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Previous experience as a school-based SLP is highly desired
• Strong preference for candidates already holding an active North Carolina SLP license
• Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork and collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to assigned caseload of approximately 43 students
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in eligibility determination processes
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and provide consultative support as needed

This contract position spans the full academic year, running from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, following a Monday through Friday schedule with 37.5 work hours each week.
