A school district serving St. Johns County, Florida is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for an elementary school assignment during the 2026–2027 academic year.
This position is open to experienced clinicians as well as recent graduates seeking a Clinical Fellowship placement. The district is looking for a dependable, collaborative professional who can provide effective speech-language services and contribute positively to the school community.
Continued employment may be available for a clinician who demonstrates strong performance and fits well with the district.

School Assignment
• Elementary student population
• Full-time weekday schedule
• Services delivered in person at the assigned school
• Final caseload details will be provided during the interview process
• Assignment may be renewed based on district needs and clinician performance

Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field
• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship in Florida
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence for experienced clinicians
• Clinical Fellowship candidates may apply
• Previous experience with children or students is preferred
• Ability to organize documentation and manage required deadlines

Scope of Services
• Complete speech and language evaluations and screenings
• Identify students’ communication strengths and areas of need
• Write measurable treatment objectives and IEP goals
• Deliver individual and small-group therapy services
• Provide classroom consultation and indirect support when appropriate
• Collect data and monitor progress toward student goals
• Prepare progress reports, service records, and evaluation documentation
• Attend IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Coordinate services with teachers, families, administrators, and related-service providers
• Maintain compliance with district procedures and special education regulations

Candidate Screening
• Completion of required district onboarding and credentialing
• Criminal background screening and fingerprint clearance
• Confirmation of Florida licensure or Clinical Fellowship eligibility
• Verification of ASHA certification when applicable
• Completion of an internal eligibility interview
