Special Education Teacher | Spring, Texas

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education license EC-12 (must meet state requirements)
• Experience teaching students with autism and intellectual disabilities preferred
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate with team members including assistants and related service providers
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with credentialing requirements, including fingerprint background checks and drug screening

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained elementary classroom of approximately 8 students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Design engaging, adapted lessons and activities to promote academic, social, and emotional growth
• Supervise and guide two classroom assistants to ensure consistent support for students
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress
• Maintain detailed records and comply with all required documentation and reporting standards
