Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners’ communication and growth while covering a leave for the upcoming fall semester. This contract opportunity spans approximately 12 weeks, beginning August 3rd and extending through October 23rd, and is designed for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about school-based practice.

Your caseload will include approximately 50 students, primarily at the elementary level. You’ll provide direct therapy (including push-in services for the Life Skills class and Grade 3), complete speech-only evaluations, and contribute meaningfully to student progress. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license to practice in Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience in school-based therapy settings
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of 50 students or more
  • Strong skills in writing PLAAFPs, setting goals, and preparing IEP documentation
  • Confidence conducting and archiving speech-only ARDs
  • Collaborative, organized, and adept at multitasking

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapeutic services (both push-in and pull-out, as needed)
  • Facilitate, document, and archive speech-only ARD meetings
  • Attend MTSS meetings and conduct student observations as necessary
  • Complete progress reports following the first grading period
  • Prepare and complete speech-only evaluations due within the assignment
