Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the appropriate science endorsement(s)
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom instruction
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience specific to middle school or PREK grade levels is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate science instruction to 8th grade students
- Design and adapt curriculum to meet the learning needs of your class
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry and critical thinking
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and intervention as needed
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to enhance instructional strategies and outcomes
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
