Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Mishawaka, IN

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language services to support students across a range of educational settings. This assignment offers the chance to work with students from preschool through 8th grade, spanning one 5th-8th grade building with a caseload of 35, as well as several private schools serving preschool to 8th grade. Your expertise will help students achieve greater communication success, making a tangible difference in their lives.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active CCC-SLP certification with Indiana licensure (SLPA applicants considered for in-person roles)
• Experience supporting school-age children with speech and language needs
• Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based interventions
• Comfort navigating varying caseload sizes: virtual roles average 40-45 students, while in-person assignments manage 65-70
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn about, different communication strategies; AAC device use is minimal in this setting
• Bilingual candidates are welcome—even though these positions have no immediate bilingual requirements, your additional language skills may provide the flexibility to tailor assignments
• Ability to confidently collaborate with educational staff and families

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with school and district policies
• Confer regularly with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to support student goals
• Adapt service models to meet in-person or virtual learning needs
• Commitment to the academic calendar: August 18 through June 7, working 37.5 hours weekly
