Pharmacist | East Butler, Pennsylvania

This position offers an opportunity for a part-time, long-term care pharmacist working 24 hours per week in a contract role located in East Butler, PA. The assignment starts with a one-month duration and may be extended based on performance and organizational need. Pharmacy operational hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
• Inspect blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications for accuracy and compliance.
• Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facility staff, hospice nurses, and physicians via phone.
• Perform counts and maintain documentation for controlled substances within the perpetual inventory system.
• Oversee and check emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness.
• Utilize pharmacy software systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC for various pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing within Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Physical capabilities including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
