This full-time contract assignment involves serving multiple school sites, providing a dynamic environment where your skills in assessment, collaboration, and intervention will be highly valued. You’ll be an integral part of a collaborative special education team, working closely with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary partners to enhance academic and social-emotional success for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Analyze and interpret assessment data, preparing comprehensive written evaluation reports
- Actively participate in eligibility meetings, IEP development, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention and support strategies
- Consult on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs to advance student outcomes
- Support crisis intervention and help implement behavior management schemes as required
- Ensure meticulous documentation and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Current state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in a school setting is an asset
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
