Job Description
An excellent contract opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant with school-based experience. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential physical therapy services in a supportive school environment. The assignment is scheduled to begin on August 17th, 2026, and will continue through June 4th, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid North Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to suit the needs of school-aged children
- Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver PTA services to students as directed by a supervising Physical Therapist
- Record and report on student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other school staff to support student success
- Assist in evaluating and modifying treatment plans to meet individual student goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with school and state guidelines
Position Details:
- Contract engagement, part-time
- Two days per week, totaling 16 hours per week
