School Speech Language Pathologist - Spruce Pine, NC

Seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to play a vital role in supporting student success for the 2026–2027 academic year! This full-time, contract opportunity is based close to beautiful Spruce Pine, NC, at a welcoming elementary school environment. You'll work Monday through Friday, enjoying a consistent schedule and the chance to make a direct impact in young lives.

Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and providing targeted speech and language therapy for a diverse group of approximately 43 students. Collaborate closely with educators and families to create an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere that supports every child's communication growth.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Direct experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
• Strong preference for candidates holding an active North Carolina SLP license
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy tailored to each student's unique needs
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings as a speech-language expert
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
• Communicate regularly with teachers and families to support student engagement and growth
• Participate in school-based initiatives and ongoing professional development
