School Psychologist - Houston, Texas

End Date: 5/27/2027
Weekly Schedule: 35 hours (7-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid State License as a School Psychologist (LSSP required)
• Recognition as a Licensed Psychologist
• Previous experience in school settings or direct services to students preferred
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, intervention techniques, and special education processes
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Capacity to adapt to multiple campuses and shifting caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs
• Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, actionable reports
• Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention as needed
• Participate actively in the development and review of students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
• Advise and consult with staff, parents, and outside agencies to facilitate supportive educational environments
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
