Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities teaching license required
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and developmental learning needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Proven ability to create supportive, engaging, and differentiated learning environments
• Dedication to promoting inclusion and fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specially designed instruction to 1st and 2nd grade students in a substantially separate classroom
• Develop, implement, and document IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success
• Create a structured, nurturing, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Assess student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and communicate growth to families and team members
• Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and professional development opportunities
