Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced School Psychologist to support students and staff in a vibrant educational setting near Holly Hill, SC. This contract role begins April 5 and continues through the end of the school year, providing vital psychological services across two elementary schools (grades 1–5) and one middle school.
As a key member of the student support team, you’ll play an essential role in fostering a positive learning environment, collaborating with educators, and assisting students in achieving their academic and social-emotional goals. This position emphasizes consultation, participation in meetings, and hands-on involvement with 504 plans and student assessments.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver psychological consultation services to students, teachers, and families
- Attend and contribute to meetings focusing on student support and educational planning
- Manage, monitor, and update approximately six active 504 accommodation plans
- Perform six scheduled reevaluations
- Conduct or assist with initial evaluations as required (with the number of cases subject to change)
- Support implementation of interventions for students’ academic and behavioral development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student needs are met
- Provide expert guidance to school staff on best practices for fostering student well-being
What We’re Looking For:
- Active, valid school psychologist license
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school environment
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within school teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
