Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas (required)
  • Background working in schools, home health, or healthcare environments as an OT
  • Proficient in both fine and gross motor skills development
  • Prior experience with school-aged children and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) is highly valued
  • Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills to partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational abilities and adaptive problem-solving

Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and develop targeted treatment plans to enhance participation and performance in academic and daily living activities
  • Deliver direct therapy services addressing fine and gross motor skills in both individual and small group settings
  • Consult with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies and accommodations into the classroom environment
  • Document progress, track goals, and contribute input for IEP meetings and related reports
  • Provide education and guidance to families to encourage skill carryover at home
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric OT and participate in ongoing professional development
