Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations. This role requires strong regulatory knowledge and operational skills to ensure compliance, financial success, and excellent patient care.

Location: Ogdensburg, NY
Job Type: Contract (Interim or Permanent)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Closed Sundays

Responsibilities:

  • Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in full compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations including budget, payroll, third-party administration, staffing, scheduling, and inventory to meet financial objectives.
  • Engage in business development initiatives both within the pharmacy and the community.
  • Supervise and evaluate pharmacy support personnel, providing training and holding associates accountable to regulatory and company standards.
  • Oversee completion of all mandatory company training by pharmacy staff.
  • Lead patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions while monitoring patient progress.
  • Support continuous quality improvement efforts to promote patient safety.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant workstation and department environment.
  • Complete continuing education requirements as mandated.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Current NY pharmacist license.
  • Immunization certification with comfort administering all vaccines.
  • Recent pharmacy manager experience preferred.
