Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

A school district in Melvindale, MI is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity serving elementary-aged students in a collaborative school environment.

Position Details

• Location: Melvindale, MI
• Schedule: Full-time, 37.5-40 hours per week
• Contract Dates: August 25, 2026 - June 18, 2027
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:25 PM
• Setting: Onsite
• School: Elementary (K-3rd Grade)

Caseload

• Approximately 40-45 students
• Caseload may grow throughout the year with new evaluations
• Caseload will not exceed 60 students

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students
• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings with families and school staff
• Consult with teachers and staff regarding interventions and accommodations
• Serve as a MET team member and case manager
• Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, and compliance records

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Michigan SLP license
• ASHA CCCs preferred
• School-based experience preferred
