Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Corning, New York

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to any changes or complications.
• Maintain strict sterilization standards and assist in preparing the operating area and instruments.
• Document all care provided and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN (RN-OR).
• Demonstrated expertise in circulating and/or scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and surgical documentation practices.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
