Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to support local students through a contract assignment in a school-based setting. This full-time, full school year opportunity involves working with diverse caseloads across multiple sites, so adaptability, organization, and a passion for pediatric therapy are essential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with California credentials
  • Prior experience working in California schools is required
  • Familiarity with IEP process, goal setting, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) as needed
  • Comfortable in an itinerant role; flexibility to travel daily between school sites
  • Preferred: Bilingual fluency in Spanish to better serve the community’s population
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to compliance and best practices in school-based therapy

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver direct physical therapy services to students of varying abilities
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Consult with teachers and staff on strategies and accommodations in the classroom
  • Conduct and document evaluations, maintain records, and contribute to IEP development and meetings
  • Travel efficiently between multiple locations within the district
  • Supervise and support PTAs assigned to student needs
  • Stay current with continuing education and licensure requirements
