This full-time contract opportunity spans from August 2026 through June 2027 and places you at the heart of a supportive district. You’ll enjoy a dynamic schedule working Monday through Friday, providing crucial services across multiple schools to a diverse caseload.
Leverage your expertise to foster communication skills, support academic growth, and make a positive impact districtwide as the dedicated SLP. On-site presence is required, ensuring hands-on collaboration with students, teachers, and fellow specialists. As the sole SLP for this assignment, you’ll play a key part in shaping the district’s speech and language services. Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license for Connecticut or eligibility for credentialing
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship status accepted
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse K-12 populations
- Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to working on-site throughout the school year
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders among students K-12
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and staff
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams for student support
- Monitor progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions across more than one campus
