This position spans the 2026-2027 school year and is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with grades 3–5, focusing on consultative services and hands-on interventions.

Key requirements:

  • Valid licensure and credentials to practice occupational therapy in Illinois
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based OT, particularly with elementary-age students
  • Background in supporting fine motor development and sensory needs
  • Ability to collaborate with educators and parents, delivering both consultation and some direct therapy sessions
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in adapting to a dynamic school setting

Your role will include:

  • Working 2–3 days per week (2 full days or split across additional days with fewer hours), from 8:05 am to 2:45 pm
  • Providing occupational therapy services in one building, primarily through consults, with a small caseload (about 25 students)
  • Delivering direct interventions focused on fine motor and sensory skills as needed
  • Participating as a supportive member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Keeping thorough records of services and progress, and participating in IEP processes when required
  • Communicating with staff and families to maximize student success
