Exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on student learning as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant Southeast Texas Coast school district. This contract position is ideal for passionate SLPAs ready to contribute their expertise at the start of the school year. With up to four openings available, you’ll play an essential role covering for direct hires who are completing licensure requirements—meaning your support is especially valued during this critical period.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLPA license required
  • Prior experience as an SLPA in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Must be available for full-time hours (35 hours per week)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must complete Texas-specific fingerprinting requirements promptly if not already in the system

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language support services to students across designated school sites (specific campus assignments TBD)
  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs and school teams to implement therapy plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress records for caseload
  • Support students in achieving their individualized education plan (IEP) goals
  • Flexibly manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to evolving school needs, especially during the first six weeks of the school year
