Schedule:
Full-time

Base Salary:
Hourly rate of $150-200/hr

Additional Benefits:
- Malpractice coverage with tail
- $7,000 for Continuing Medical Education (CME) annually, plus 5 CME days
- Signing bonus

Your Impact in This Role

This is a unique chance to move away from the administrative burdens of traditional private practice and focus entirely on clinical excellence, patient safety, and the development of a new flagship program.

  • Contribute to establishing the foundational culture of this new flagship program, playing a key role in the workflows and growth of our inaugural OB hospitalist service line.
  • Promote patient safety and satisfaction through continuous, round-the-clock care, ensuring every patient has a secure and supportive birth experience.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions for complex and high-acuity cases across our regional facilities.
  • Enjoy exceptional flexibility with options for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules, including adaptable 12-hour or 24-hour shifts to enhance your work-life balance.
About the Practice
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient only.
  • Employed physician within a nonprofit health system.
  • Choice of three initial sites with varying acuity levels.
  • Full-time commitment of 120 hours/month; part-time commitment of 60 hours/month.
  • NICU supported by Dell Children's Neonatologists.
  • Serving a population of approximately 1.02 million in Austin and 142,000 in Round Rock.

Additional Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
  • Current Texas medical license (or eligibility) and DEA registration by the start date.
  • Prior experience as an OB hospitalist or in high-acuity obstetrics is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed by the Texas Medical Board required before the hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
