Job Description
Step into a dynamic role shaping young learners’ communication skills as a full-time contract SLP serving an elementary caseload. This position runs from September 4th to June 25th, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week. You will work closely with dedicated students and collaborate with supportive staff at a vibrant elementary school.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold current and valid SLP licensure in New Jersey
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Demonstrated school-based SLP experience servicing elementary caseloads
- Skilled in conducting speech/language assessments, evaluations, and delivering direct services
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently; must be able to meet caseload needs efficiently
- Must excel in collaborating within a school setting and communicating with educators, families, and staff
- Comfortable acclimating and complying with school district protocols
- Reliable transportation required and a manageable commute essential
- Must complete onboarding requirements: TB screening, physical, fingerprinting for both agency and district
- CF or SLPA candidates will not be considered due to supervision requirements
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct thorough assessments and participate in eligibility and reevaluation processes
- Engage collaboratively in IEP meetings and consult with teachers and families
- Document student progress, prepare evaluation reports, and maintain compliance with state and district regulations
- Implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to elementary students
