You’ll work full time (35 hours/week) in an itinerant role, serving 2–3 schools and working with a diverse student caseload. Flexibility is provided for those seeking part-time scheduling—working three full days per week, with structured planning periods included.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification in Adaptive Physical Education preferred; PE teacher certification required as a minimum
- Strong adaptability—comfortable traveling between multiple school sites
- Reliable transportation for daily commute between schools
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
- Proven ability to collaborate with school-based teams and families
- Drug screening and district fingerprinting clearance required
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver adaptive physical education lessons to students across elementary, middle, and/or high school levels, tailored to individual IEP goals
- Assess students’ abilities, develop goal-driven programs, and track progress for each student
- Consult with educators, therapists, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success
- Maintain timely records and documentation in compliance with school and district policies
- Adapt curriculum and activities, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for all students
- Travel between assigned schools (East or West Bank areas) as needed by the district
