Make a meaningful impact in students’ educational journeys as a School Psychologist working across two vibrant school communities. This full-year contract role offers a balanced mix of responsibilities, including both ECAT (Early Childhood Assessment Teams) evaluations and traditional school psychologist services. Spend part of your week in Vernon Hills focusing on ECAT assessments and meetings, and the other half in Lake Villa supporting a diverse student population from Early Childhood through 8th grade.

This position features a stable weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm—with guaranteed 7.5-hour workdays that include lunch. Enjoy the variety and professional growth that comes from collaborating with multiple school teams and serving students with a wide array of needs.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Previous school-based experience (ECAT knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong evaluation, assessment, and report writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in managing a varied caseload across early childhood and elementary/middle school age groups
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct ECAT evaluations and participate in relevant meetings in Vernon Hills
  • Provide comprehensive school psychologist services in Lake Villa (testing, intervention, consultation)
  • Complete assessments, develop behavior and academic intervention plans, and support IEP development
  • Attend team meetings and collaborate on student progress and support strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting as required
