This full-time contract opportunity runs through the 2026-2027 school year, offering a consistent schedule Monday through Friday (35 hours per week), including a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks. The role focuses on providing valuable support to classroom teachers and directly assisting students, particularly those with challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to classroom management and foster a positive learning atmosphere
• Deliver individualized and small-group support to students, including 1:1 assistance as needed
• Aid students during classroom activities and instructional sessions
• Provide support with toileting and personal care responsibilities, when necessary
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote student growth and success

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Paraprofessional license
• At least two years of experience in a classroom setting, preferably with elementary students
• Experience assisting with toileting tasks is highly preferred
• Skilled at creating rapport with children, demonstrating patience, and managing behavioral challenges
• Ability to adapt and function effectively within a dynamic school setting
