Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and instruction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for engaging with students and fostering a dynamic classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in both English Language Arts and Social Studies to 5th graders
- Design and implement standards-based curriculum tailored to diverse learners
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that stimulates learning and participation
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional techniques for individual learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to provide comprehensive educational experiences
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding academic progress and classroom activities
- Uphold school policies and participate in professional development opportunities
