Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in student communication and learning as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist supporting both school-based and medically homebound children. This contract opportunity, beginning August 25, 2026, and concluding June 8, 2027, invites you to provide vital services across a dynamic school district in the Wilmington, DE area.
In this role, you’ll enjoy a balanced schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for both full-time and part-time arrangements. When not assisting homebound students, you’ll work at a district-assigned school location (site assignment TBD). Caseloads will fluctuate throughout the academic year, with a primary focus on delivering direct therapy, implementing IEP goals, and collaborating with educational teams to ensure every student receives the support they deserve.
Qualifications
- Current Delaware SLP license (required for consideration)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school-based settings and/or with homebound students preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to varying caseload needs throughout the year
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy to students in a school building and to those who are medically homebound
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP development and reviews
- Travel within the district as needed to deliver services
