Make a direct and lasting impact as a contract paraprofessional serving high school students with high-intensity and severe needs. This is a unique opportunity to support a vital population, working closely with skilled educators in a structured, safety-focused environment. Assignments run from August 19, 2026 to June 12, 2027, with orientation the first week and a regular Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

This role involves building trusted relationships and providing hands-on assistance—including support with daily living activities—in an environment where flexibility, empathy, and resilience are essential.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ years' experience as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom (PreK–12) with children with autism and behavioral needs—required for consideration.
• Comfort implementing safety interventions and adaptable strategies for students who may exhibit aggressive or self-injurious behavior.
• Must reside within 35 minutes of the site and be able to reliably commute.
• Willingness to provide active, hands-on support (feeding, transfers, toileting/diapering, etc.).
• Must meet one of Pennsylvania’s paraprofessional qualification standards, or be willing to complete necessary certification within 60 days if not already held.
• Commitment to full attendance for mandatory orientation and the regular work schedule.
• Ability to provide two supervisor references from previous paraprofessional roles.

Responsibilities:

• Directly support students’ behavioral and learning needs in a high school setting.
• Implement individualized education and behavior management plans as directed by staff.
