Job Description
A unique opportunity is available for a clinical pharmacist to provide specialized emergency department care at a tribal clinic and hospital in Vail, Arizona. This role offers a true decentralized pharmacist experience, supporting emergency medicine providers during night shifts in a dynamic clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the Emergency Department during night shifts
- Participate actively in medication management and emergency response initiatives
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as part of credentialing requirements
- Utilize the RPMS electronic health record system to document and track patient care
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist (Arizona pharmacist license not required due to tribal facility status)
- Clinical experience, preferably including hospital or residency training
- Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Willingness to work at a remote tribal healthcare facility and embrace a decentralized role
- Commitment to ongoing certification acquisition (BLS/ACLS/PALS)
Schedule and Location:
- Night shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
- 10-hour shifts dedicated to emergency department coverage
- Based in the scenic and vibrant region of Arizona’s tribal territories, offering an exceptional work-life balance
