This position seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to fulfill immediate needs, covering multiple leaves across the district. You’ll primarily work with elementary-aged students but may have the chance to make a difference with learners of all ages, ensuring a diverse and enriching caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates will be considered
- Previous school-based experience is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services within school settings
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver engaging interventions both one-on-one and in small groups
- Adapt strategies to support diverse learners, focusing on maximizing student communication and academic success
